A tale of three butts!!! Really they were looking for worms!
There was a duck swimming close enough to the dock that I got a pic of Nevaeh (far R) and the duck (far L)!
Wyatte finally figured out that he isn't going to sink totally, and this ring helps him stay upright! He was throwing sticks into the water and then walking out to get them. He started using the net when he threw one to far!!!
"Bouncy, bouncy, bouncy" she kept saying!
Wyatte and Daddy found a worm. He was trying to show me. And yes he did get a hair cut...

Pretty Girls!
This is Aubrie and her friend Baby K! Aubrie is 6 months and K is about 6 weeks! I found this dress for Aubrie at Walmart the other day (on clearance!!!), and picked it up for our meeting with Baby Ben (She was pictured in it, flirting with Ben's daddy, Nathan). Then the other day I was in Walmart for diapers and saw the dress was clearanced even more. I was kinda bummed until I found one K's size and thought it would be cute to see the girls in them together! So last Tuesday I gave the dress to K's mom and we made plans to have the girls wear them on Sunday to church!
I guess it only kinda looks like they are in the same dress huh!!! Aubrie is drooling soooo badly right now that everything she wears is just soaked in about 10 minutes. I promise you it is the same dress!!!
Aren't they so cute! I know I am partially biased, being that one is mine, but!!!

Aubrie can officially move anywhere she wants to...
She hasn't quite got the hand moving part down, but she figured out that all she has to do is stretch her legs/feet out and she pushes herself forward! She is isn't technically crawling, but she is definately moving!!! I will try to get a video of her up!
Paul is moving all of his stuff into his dorm room at college right now, as we speak. Pretty soon they have some family stuff starting and mom and Kirk are there to do that with him. I will post his address up here for those family members that would be interested in sending him a care package everyonce in a while! I don't know what it is right now, so...the kids got one last book reading by paul before he left today!
Yesterday we went to Duluth to pick up my bridesmaids dress for Elizabeth and J.V.'s wedding. This is what we saw on the way back...
yes that is hail! tons of it all over the ground.

Nevaeh outside, helping me dig...
Aubrie inside while we were digging...
My new baby Hollyhocks. I planted these from seed this spring and wasn't expecting any flowers at all this year (I was told they wouldn't do anything...) so to my surprise a flower. And it is my favorite color of all the Hollyhocks that I have seen! I was soooooooooo excited!
Isn't it beautiful!?!?!?!?!?!?

Wyatte's first chore...
Normally Wyatte and Nevaeh hand someone the silverware, but today I decided to let him try to put it away himself. He is tall enough to reach the drawer, and he knows the difference between all the kinds of silverware, so I let him go at it...
He did really well, only a couple of pieces ended up in the wrong spot and he noticed it right away. I think he really enjoyed doing it alone.
All done, I put the rest of the dishes away with his help because he couldn't reach the cupboards that they go in, but he did the silverware ALL BY HIMSELF!!!

Back to School Bash
Nevaeh inside the petting zoo that was part of my mom's church's back to school event. She was too cute to not get a picture of her in there!
So Sunday night was the Back to School Bash at my Mom's church. We had gotten home later than planned from our Fun Day at our church, and so I wasn't sure that we were even going to go. Then when John's Dad called to see if John could go golf with them, I really didn't think we were going to go. Then when Nevaeh woke up from her nap, and promptly woke Wyatte up, and told him it was time to go to Grandma's church to play games and see the animals, it was decided for me that we were, in fact, going! Here are a few pics from the time that we were there.Uncle Kirk helping Wyatte figure out how to aim the foam dart gun...
Wyatte shooting at Kirk with said foam dart gun...
Wyatte hitting Kirk with foam dart from said foam dart gun!!!
Nevaeh playing in the crawly thing they had there
Sorry this picture is sooo bright, the sun was horrible, I couldn't get my camera to take a good picture, either tooo much or not enough sun... oh well, the kids had fun!!!
Wyatte spinning for a prize, Nevaeh wouldn't get close enough to try it. "Too Scary" she said!!!
He was pretty close, granted, but he still did really well with the ring toss!!
Wyatte and Nevaeh looking at a chicken that was part of the petting zoo.
Neveah loved this pig. She kept trying to pick it up to bring it to me. I didn't really want to get that close, but hey...
Look really close at Nevaeh's face! Priceless!!!

Ton's going on in the past few days sooo sorry...
Today was the Fun Day/Sunday School Graduation/Corn Feed/Church Picnic after church! We started out with a hot dog and sweet corn lunch! YUM YUM!!! Then they had some games for the kids to play and win little prizes (kinda like a carnival) then there was stuff to do outside, a bouncy house for the kids, softball and volleyball for the adults. Oh and the church has a play ground, so there were kids all over that too!!! They had cotton candy, popcorn and slushies for us all throughout the day too! It was alot of fun! Aubrie and I got to have a couple of nursing "dates" with one of our favorite mom/daughter team! The two older kids had a ton of fun playing around with all the stuff there was for them! Sorry I didn't get any pics, I forgot my camera... :( My mom's church is having their summer thing tonight so I will try to get my camera there! I am hoping that someone from the church will update the church's website with pics, so you can try to go to the Grace Bible Chapel website (click on the name to get taken to the site...)
There have been other goings on in our life lately. A good friend of ours from church had an adorable little boy, Benjamin. This year alone (from January to December...) there are/have been 11 or 12 babies born in our church! Out of that 11 or 12 babies, Benjamin is only the 2nd boy!!!! So it is a good thing that the last "round" of babies was all boys so that this large group of girls will have some choices when it comes to picking out boyfriends!!!!!!!!!! lol!!! Anyways, last Friday, Aubrie and I made the trip to Duluth with Miss Heidi and Baby Katie to see this new handsome boy Benjamin and his mama Heidi! It was a fun trip. Just the girls on the way there! Lunch at Olive Garden, and for some reason Aubrie HATES it there. Everytime we have taken her in there she just screams and screams and screams. Miss Heidi told me today that it was like a totally different girl. She did end up falling asleep, but only because I wrapped her inside her blanket (like a burrito) and held her tightly to me with out letting her move and she finally screamed/cried her self to sleep. Other than that the trip was fun. We met up with some other friends of ours from church, and enjoyed lunch with them. I do have some pics of Benjamin and everyone there visiting him, but want to get permission from the mommies and daddies before I put them up.Aubrie and I on the way out of the Duluth Hospital after visiting Baby Benjamin.
Aubrie and Benjamin's Daddy, Nathan. He said he loves to "flirt" with her!!!
I got the kids' pics taken by one of the Daddies that we know from church. Chris took them yesterday morning, they emailed me their favorites and John and I picked from them. They are going to clean them up and stuff, then post them to a site called MPIX and we can order them from there. I am letting you all know this, because it is a flat shipping rate of 5$ per order, so if you want a pic of the kids, please let me know by sending me an email at jashoard@yahoo.com and I will add it to the order. Once they are up you can let me know which one(s) you want and what size, and as long as a thousand of you don't order them I will play for them and the mail them to you when we get them. They aren't up yet, but hopefully soon!
Last week one of John's sister's boys, Asher, turned 2. He is a month and a day younger than Nevaeh. They have a lot of fun together when we see them. It is kinda sad because they lived right down the road from us and we hardly ever saw them. Noah is Wyatte's favorite boy in the world (Asher's older brother...) and we can't seem to find a time to have him come over... Anyways here are a couple of pics from the party that we had to celebrate Asher turning 2, and his oldest sister going off to college for the 1st time.Nevaeh, Noah, Asher and Wyatte looking at the fish pond. They have a blast together!
One of my Aunt Marilyn's neices, Shea, was here with her husband, Shawn, this last week. She is one of my cousin's cousin's, if that makes sense... They live out in California and were here for only a week or so, we almost didn't make it over to see them, but finally snuck in a short visit with her! Wyatte, Shea, Aubrie and Nevaeh at Great Auntie Marilyn's house. They did have fun, even though it looks like they are a little concerned here!!!
Nevaeh is looking for money in the sandbox. Some of you know, or read in a previous post, that Marilyn puts pennies in the sandbox for the younger kids when there is something going on at her house (this time it was my cousin Ryan's grad party) and the kids have a blast looking for it. Well this year she put in 10.00$ of pennies and she thinks only about 6 or so dollars have been found!!! Every time we go there that is the first place they head!!!
Aubrie was actually enjoying her time in the grass. You would think that I never feed her because the first thing she did was "eat" the grass!!!
Marilyn has an apple tree in the yard right by the sand box, and Wyatte was picking up all of the good ones that he found on the ground so I would make him another apple pie. Sorry Wyatte but the apples went bad before I could make you a pie. Really they did...

Rides at the fair...
Nevaeh was scared to death of "Rover Comer", the dog that my mom's church had walking around the fair to let everyone know about the kids stuff that was going on at the fair and also the kids' programs at the church. Kirk signed up to be the dog and that is why he is so close! Wyatte figured out that we were telling the truth when we said that Uncle Kirk was in there, but Nevaeh wasn't going to hear that at all!
Daddy and Nevaeh going down the slide!
As you can tell, Nevaeh loved it!!!!!!!!!
Wyatte got to go down all by himself.
Wyatte climbing up the fun house with cousin's Sophie (almost 6) and Savanah (almost 8)
Coming down the slide at the end of the fun house! He had fun, but seemed alittle scared to walk across the huuuggely (don't think that is a word...) long bridge to get to the slide...
Wyatte and Nevaeh got to go on a Merry-go-round ride, while Aubrie and I just got kinda dizzy!
We did all have fun though!!!
Daddy, Wyatte and Nevaeh are all inside that strawberry there, I took like 13 pics and didn't get one with their faces showing :(
Nevaeh coming down the bouncy slide! She went up with noooo problem!
Nevaeh going up, and Wyatte coming down!
So we did enjoy ourselves at the fair. John's sister and neices didn't show this year (they have horses), so we didn't spend as much time there as we have in past years. We also didn't go in any of the animal barns or get to see any of the 4-H stuff, but oh well. The kids had fun.
Next year I think I am going to try to get some of my vegetables from the garden that we ARE going to do in the yard at John's parents (soon to be our) house! I would also like to put in some flowers, and maybe some others... We will have to see how life goes...

tooth
Hello, just a quick prayer request. I am leaving in a few minutes to head to the dentist to have a root canal. It got a cavity when I was pregnant and I haven't done anything about it since getting it. In the last couple of weeks the tooth has started falling apart, and right now there is only about 1/2 of the outside shell. Food gets in there all the time, and I finally got sick of it enough to go in to the dentist for the 1st time in over 8 years. I have to have the one root canal and two other fillings fixed. Two teeth today, and then another one later this week.
So keep me in prayer. I am pretty nervous about this......

kids...
This is my big girl! I know it isn't the best picture, but it is the only one I have of her up on her hands and knees right now! I had her in the nursery on Sunday and all of the women in there couldn't get over how advanced she is. Even as I type this she is trying and trying to crawl. Oh boy...Just a cute pic of 'Veah.
Wyatte wanted his picture taken too!!!
This is where Aubrie decided to take her nap today! I was doing the dishes and wanted to finish them so that I could take a quick nap with her, but she fell asleep before I could finish!!!

Planning a garden/yard...
This is a flower from an "Annabelle" hydrangea, and one that I plan on planting in the yard, either this fall if we get in before the ground freezes, or next spring when the ground thaws! I remember them from my grandma Watson's house when we were growing up and still that is the best memory of her house. The flower looks like a huge snow ball, they range in size from pretty small to over 10 inches! There are a few houses that I deliver papers to that have them in the yard, and it just makes my eyes light up to see them!
I am thinking I want to plant them along the front deck, but not sure exactly how much sun gets there, and how much these can stand... Anyways for now that is my plan. I am also looking for something to plant inbetween these plants. The house is clear stained pine, and the deck is a dark brownish red. I love dark colored flowers, the burgundy and maroon ones. So if anyone has any ideas for me I would love them! I was also thinking of maybe planting some Hollyhocks, or Glads in there. They are pretty tall and would look great in with the huge white flowers.
I am also hoping to plant a HUGE vegetable garden in the spring, and have to start thinking about what exactly we want to grow. There are sooooo many things we like to eat, and would love to grow, but I just need to plan it out....
Thanks for reading all my plans!!!!

Wyatte's first canoe ride
I wasn't actually here for this, I was at Bible study, but told John and Kirk that if they did take him out on his first canoe ride that they needed to get some pictures, so here they are!!! I didn't even realize that they had taken pictures, or gone out for that matter, until I was uploading the video of Aubrie trying to crawl, so I am looking that them for the first time right now!!!

Aubrie being mobile, and other goings on!!!
As if you couldn't tell by me talking in the background, Aubrie is getting stronger and is trying to make her self mobile! My mom said I was crawling by 6 months, and I think Aubrie is going for the record!Uncle Paul was being nice and sharing his breakfast with the girls!!! Actually, I don't think he got to eat these, Nevaeh was a pig!!! lol
Mom and I went to an awesome garage sale the other day, and found this Bumpo seat! I had been wanting one, but didn't feel the need at 40 bucks. Then I found this one for 10$ at the garage sale and mom bought it for us!!! Aubrie loves it! She can actually see what is going on when she is in it. Right now her favorite thing to do though, is turn herself sideways in it and try to reach what ever is on the ground next to her!!!
Uncle Paul getting some more niece time!
And, Aubrie starting eating food!!!!!!!!!!!! Her first food was a couple weeks ago in Duluth when I went to order my bridesmaids dress for Liz's wedding. We were in Arby's and she was fussy so I picked out the potato from a french fry and gave that to her and that made her more fussy because I wasn't feeding her fast enough!!! So now she is getting some applesauce, bananas, and baby cereal. She loves it and is slowly getting the hang of actually getting some into her belly and not all down the front of her shirt!!!!!!!!!

Making apple "pie"
Wyatte showing me one of the apples that he picked up off the ground at Great Auntie Marilyn's house.
Some of the apples peeled and almost ready for apple pie...
Wyatte helped fill the "pie pan" (really it was a muffin tin...)
The finished product. The bottom is a pie crust, then a normal apple pie filling, and then a kinda of apple crisp topping. Kinda just a conglomeration of a lot of different things!!!
Ok, now to tell the story...
Today I had to drop something off at my Aunt Marilyn's house (she was wonderful enough to make us a meal after Aubrie was born, and I finally picked it up and then we ate it YUM and now I finally brought it back!!!) and then I was going to hit a garage sale and then drop the kids off with my mom so I could go to my dentist appt. Well the other day we went for a walk, and we found some wild raspberries. Wyatte wanted more than we could find, and so I told him that Auntie Marilyn has lots and lots of raspberries in her yard, and next time we went there we could probably pick some. Well, when we got there that was pretty much the first thing out of his mouth, "Can we pick some raspberries?" So Marilyn took them to the raspberry patch while I went to the garage sale and then mom picked them up. When they got home Wyatte had a big bag of apples from the apple tree in front of Marilyn's house.
This is a conversation that was had at Marilyn's house...
Wyatte, "Can you make blueberry pie with these apples?"
Marilyn, "No, but you can make apple pie with them."
W, "Ok, lets go!!!"
So when he got home that was the first thing he wanted to do. So after they woke up from their naps him and I got busy making an apple pie and thus the pics above!!!
So I will try one of them and let you know how they turned out!!!
Today the I had to drop something off at m

Aubrie's favorite book
This is Aubrie's favorite book! This is the only toy that she will reach for and play with for more than 3 seconds. She likes the fact that it makes noise when she chews on it, and there are a few "chew" toys on the edges that she uses to her advantage! The thing is soaked all the time!
On another note, she is almost crawling. She gets up on her hands and knees, but then falls down. She can go backwards very nicely in this manner!!! At 4 1/2 months old my daughter is learning how to crawl, HELP!!! Mom says that I was crawling by 6 months and walking by 9, so... I will try to get pics and/or video of her moving around like that, but when ever I get out the camera when she is doing it she stops and just laughs at me!!!

Foggy playdate
Wyatte climbed up the rock wall at the sports complex park yesterday! He had a lot of fun playing with the kids. He is getting to an age where he will actually play with the kids and not just alone. He was chasing them around and helping get different things they were playing with! It is fun to watch him grow up.
Aubrie just laid around, and I actually got her to take a nap while we were at the park! It was great, watching the two older kids and talking with the other moms!!!
These are from my drive home this morning. I thought that fog was soooo pretty, weaving itself through the trees. I know my pictures don't look like the real thing, but you can still get the idea. Right?

Acts of Service
So I have been reading "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. John and I had received it as a gift from my father a few years ago, but in total rebellion I never read it. Well, considering what is going on in my marriage lately, or the lack thereof, I decided that maybe father does know best. I found the book in my brother's room (I know, snooper, but hey it was in the window and you could see it from outside!) and I took it out the the camper to read it. At first it didn't really seem like there was going to be anything in there for me. Until I got to the "Acts of Service" language. That is totally my "love language." I always complain that he doesn't do anything around the house for me, and when he does it is only because I nag, and nag, and nag, and you get the idea. I am still trying to figure out just what John is, but I know what I am. Now if I can only get him to see it too. I don't think I will ever get him to read this book, unless someone out there has any ideas as to how to do that...
Anyways that opened my eyes to a few other things, but we will keep them to my self tonight. At least now I understand why I am so mad at him all the time. My "love" tank is on empty because he doesn't really know that is what it means to love me. I just need to work on him being more "loving" in my language.
I have also been looking at a few website about the birth control that I am using now. It is called Mirena and is good for up to five years, with a small amount of side effects. So my original searching showed. Now that I have had it in for a few months, I am starting to wonder more about it. I have been severely moody the last couple of months and with the move and having three kids under four and everything else that has been going on, I just decided that it was because of that. Nothing to really worry about. Well, because of something else I started looking at some websites that have forums about Mirena. They are places that you can make comments and other veiwers add their comments and stuff. Kinda like an on going conversation between tons and tons of web site users. A couple of them that I have came across have said things like they were having panic attacks, felt almost bi-polar, had some serious health side effects, and tons of other scary side effects (that there aren't supposed to be.) So now I am a little nervous about keeping this on because I don't have time to deal with all of that stuff or even some of it, if my body is indeed reacting to this new birth control. So keep me in your prayers as I continue to research this.

Tall Timber Days Parade
Ok, so I thought I had this all figured out as to how to get my pics in here in order, but I guess not. So unless I spend the time to put them in here one at a time, you guys are just going to have to deal with the fact that these pics aren't in order!!! SorryHad to get at least one picture of Aubrie at her first parade!!! I guess it isn't a bad one of me either.
Daddy and Nevaeh watching the Shriners ride around on their motorcycles.
Ok, so I got two pics of Aubrie!!! After this pic was taken she nursed and then I wore her the whole time! I wore her facing out so she could see what was going on for the parade part of our day, then when we went shopping I turned her in so that she could take a nap, which she did. I put her on my shoulder and just started moving the wrap all around, and I don't think I followed any pattern that I have seen, so maybe I invented a new way to "wear" your baby!!! It was the most comfortable that I have had her ever in there and that is saying something because I can't feel that I am carrying her at all, ever soooo...
The GR marching band. It is a lot smaller than when I was in it, but still big enough that we didn't see Uncle Kirk. Mom told me he was in there, but I totally missed him...
Wyatte was soooo excited to see this tractor with the huge wheels! I kept trying to get a picture with him standing up, but he just kept squating down and hollering look at that huge tractor Mommy!!!
Another tractor driving in the parade.
Wyatte was a little scared of all the loud noises that the fire trucks and things were making. He kept backing up farther and farther!!! He did come up to the edge of the road when they started throwing candy to us!!!
Nevaeh and Daddy watching the trucks go by!
Wyatte was super excited to see everything today! There were fire trucks and big jeeps like Daddy's and tractors and motorcycles and all kinds of moving vehicles!!!
Wyatte was watching the shriners go by on the motorcycles.
Nevaeh was soooo wore out by the end of the parade that when I went to order a name magnet for Aubrie she fell asleep in the wagon!
One of the things in the parade was Saiger's Steam Clean, and the rigs all had bubble blowers on the tops of them! It was really cool!!! This is Wyatte chasing the bubbles. I promise there are some in the pic, but you just can't see them very well.

The goings on in our life lately...
ubrie is soooo full of smiles and laughs these days. She can pretty much crawl. She scoots herself backwards like a pro, and is trying to get her body to work by moving forward.
Wyatte showing me what you use to catch a fish.
Looking at a snail on the side of the dock.
Aubrie's "bed" in the camper. She sleeps great out there. Well, she sleeps great just about anywhere!!!
Playing with the fish net.
I bought a watermelon from Walmart the other day and finally got around to cutting it up to eat. The kids and I each enjoyed a couple of pieces and then I ran upstairs to lay Nevaeh down for her nap while Wyatte finished he piece. I came down stairs and saw this (see above) and heard the sound of running feet out the front door. I went out there and asked Wyatte if he was done yet and he said "No Mommy, I haven't even started!"
I don't know if you can really see it or not, but the front of his shirt is soaked in watermelon juice. His shorts are soaked in juice, it is dripping off both elbows. He loves melon of any kind, but especially water melon.
Just another veiw of the mess! Does anyone have a good recipe for Watermelon Rind Pickles. I was going to make some with this water melon rind, but the only ones I can find call for cinnamon sticks, and my mom said she didn't use them. So I am going to keep looking...

grrrrrr
I can't get any of my pictures to upload into here today, not for lack of trying though! Lots to catch you up on, but no time now that I have wasted so much of it trying to get pics up here. I promise I will put some up as soon as possible tomorrow.
This weekend is "Tall Timber Days" here in GR, and I think all 30,000 people in the area and all of their family members are in town. I spent three years in AZ and didn't mind the traffic at all, but up here it drives me NUTS. Especially with three young kids. I don't want anything to happen to them. Any ways there is a parade on Sunday and so I will get some pics of that up for you all to enjoy too!!!
Good night and God Bless!!!
