tooth

Hello, just a quick prayer request. I am leaving in a few minutes to head to the dentist to have a root canal. It got a cavity when I was pregnant and I haven't done anything about it since getting it. In the last couple of weeks the tooth has started falling apart, and right now there is only about 1/2 of the outside shell. Food gets in there all the time, and I finally got sick of it enough to go in to the dentist for the 1st time in over 8 years. I have to have the one root canal and two other fillings fixed. Two teeth today, and then another one later this week.

So keep me in prayer. I am pretty nervous about this......

I am trying to get a post up here with pictures, but for some reason they are all tipped sideways, so I am going to delete it and try again tomorrow. Sorry for those of you that check often.....

kids...

This is my big girl! I know it isn't the best picture, but it is the only one I have of her up on her hands and knees right now! I had her in the nursery on Sunday and all of the women in there couldn't get over how advanced she is. Even as I type this she is trying and trying to crawl. Oh boy...
Just a cute pic of 'Veah.
Wyatte wanted his picture taken too!!!
This is where Aubrie decided to take her nap today! I was doing the dishes and wanted to finish them so that I could take a quick nap with her, but she fell asleep before I could finish!!!

Planning a garden/yard...

This is a flower from an "Annabelle" hydrangea, and one that I plan on planting in the yard, either this fall if we get in before the ground freezes, or next spring when the ground thaws! I remember them from my grandma Watson's house when we were growing up and still that is the best memory of her house. The flower looks like a huge snow ball, they range in size from pretty small to over 10 inches! There are a few houses that I deliver papers to that have them in the yard, and it just makes my eyes light up to see them!

I am thinking I want to plant them along the front deck, but not sure exactly how much sun gets there, and how much these can stand... Anyways for now that is my plan. I am also looking for something to plant inbetween these plants. The house is clear stained pine, and the deck is a dark brownish red. I love dark colored flowers, the burgundy and maroon ones. So if anyone has any ideas for me I would love them! I was also thinking of maybe planting some Hollyhocks, or Glads in there. They are pretty tall and would look great in with the huge white flowers.

I am also hoping to plant a HUGE vegetable garden in the spring, and have to start thinking about what exactly we want to grow. There are sooooo many things we like to eat, and would love to grow, but I just need to plan it out....

Thanks for reading all my plans!!!!

Wyatte's first canoe ride

I wasn't actually here for this, I was at Bible study, but told John and Kirk that if they did take him out on his first canoe ride that they needed to get some pictures, so here they are!!! I didn't even realize that they had taken pictures, or gone out for that matter, until I was uploading the video of Aubrie trying to crawl, so I am looking that them for the first time right now!!!

Aubrie being mobile, and other goings on!!!

As if you couldn't tell by me talking in the background, Aubrie is getting stronger and is trying to make her self mobile! My mom said I was crawling by 6 months, and I think Aubrie is going for the record!
Uncle Paul was being nice and sharing his breakfast with the girls!!! Actually, I don't think he got to eat these, Nevaeh was a pig!!! lol
Mom and I went to an awesome garage sale the other day, and found this Bumpo seat! I had been wanting one, but didn't feel the need at 40 bucks. Then I found this one for 10$ at the garage sale and mom bought it for us!!! Aubrie loves it! She can actually see what is going on when she is in it. Right now her favorite thing to do though, is turn herself sideways in it and try to reach what ever is on the ground next to her!!!
Uncle Paul getting some more niece time!
And, Aubrie starting eating food!!!!!!!!!!!! Her first food was a couple weeks ago in Duluth when I went to order my bridesmaids dress for Liz's wedding. We were in Arby's and she was fussy so I picked out the potato from a french fry and gave that to her and that made her more fussy because I wasn't feeding her fast enough!!! So now she is getting some applesauce, bananas, and baby cereal. She loves it and is slowly getting the hang of actually getting some into her belly and not all down the front of her shirt!!!!!!!!!

Making apple "pie"

Wyatte showing me one of the apples that he picked up off the ground at Great Auntie Marilyn's house.

Some of the apples peeled and almost ready for apple pie...
Wyatte helped fill the "pie pan" (really it was a muffin tin...)
The finished product. The bottom is a pie crust, then a normal apple pie filling, and then a kinda of apple crisp topping. Kinda just a conglomeration of a lot of different things!!!

Ok, now to tell the story...
Today I had to drop something off at my Aunt Marilyn's house (she was wonderful enough to make us a meal after Aubrie was born, and I finally picked it up and then we ate it YUM and now I finally brought it back!!!) and then I was going to hit a garage sale and then drop the kids off with my mom so I could go to my dentist appt. Well the other day we went for a walk, and we found some wild raspberries. Wyatte wanted more than we could find, and so I told him that Auntie Marilyn has lots and lots of raspberries in her yard, and next time we went there we could probably pick some. Well, when we got there that was pretty much the first thing out of his mouth, "Can we pick some raspberries?" So Marilyn took them to the raspberry patch while I went to the garage sale and then mom picked them up. When they got home Wyatte had a big bag of apples from the apple tree in front of Marilyn's house.

This is a conversation that was had at Marilyn's house...
Wyatte, "Can you make blueberry pie with these apples?"
Marilyn, "No, but you can make apple pie with them."
W, "Ok, lets go!!!"

So when he got home that was the first thing he wanted to do. So after they woke up from their naps him and I got busy making an apple pie and thus the pics above!!!

So I will try one of them and let you know how they turned out!!!
Today the I had to drop something off at m

"Double" Rainbow

Just a few pics of a "double" rainbow that we saw today! I know they were faint, but they were sooooooo pretty I had to share them with you

Aubrie's favorite book

This is Aubrie's favorite book! This is the only toy that she will reach for and play with for more than 3 seconds. She likes the fact that it makes noise when she chews on it, and there are a few "chew" toys on the edges that she uses to her advantage! The thing is soaked all the time!

On another note, she is almost crawling. She gets up on her hands and knees, but then falls down. She can go backwards very nicely in this manner!!! At 4 1/2 months old my daughter is learning how to crawl, HELP!!! Mom says that I was crawling by 6 months and walking by 9, so... I will try to get pics and/or video of her moving around like that, but when ever I get out the camera when she is doing it she stops and just laughs at me!!!

Foggy playdate

Wyatte climbed up the rock wall at the sports complex park yesterday! He had a lot of fun playing with the kids. He is getting to an age where he will actually play with the kids and not just alone. He was chasing them around and helping get different things they were playing with! It is fun to watch him grow up.Aubrie just laid around, and I actually got her to take a nap while we were at the park! It was great, watching the two older kids and talking with the other moms!!!

These are from my drive home this morning. I thought that fog was soooo pretty, weaving itself through the trees. I know my pictures don't look like the real thing, but you can still get the idea. Right?

Acts of Service

So I have been reading "The Five Love Languages" by Gary Chapman. John and I had received it as a gift from my father a few years ago, but in total rebellion I never read it. Well, considering what is going on in my marriage lately, or the lack thereof, I decided that maybe father does know best. I found the book in my brother's room (I know, snooper, but hey it was in the window and you could see it from outside!) and I took it out the the camper to read it. At first it didn't really seem like there was going to be anything in there for me. Until I got to the "Acts of Service" language. That is totally my "love language." I always complain that he doesn't do anything around the house for me, and when he does it is only because I nag, and nag, and nag, and you get the idea. I am still trying to figure out just what John is, but I know what I am. Now if I can only get him to see it too. I don't think I will ever get him to read this book, unless someone out there has any ideas as to how to do that...

Anyways that opened my eyes to a few other things, but we will keep them to my self tonight. At least now I understand why I am so mad at him all the time. My "love" tank is on empty because he doesn't really know that is what it means to love me. I just need to work on him being more "loving" in my language.

I have also been looking at a few website about the birth control that I am using now. It is called Mirena and is good for up to five years, with a small amount of side effects. So my original searching showed. Now that I have had it in for a few months, I am starting to wonder more about it. I have been severely moody the last couple of months and with the move and having three kids under four and everything else that has been going on, I just decided that it was because of that. Nothing to really worry about. Well, because of something else I started looking at some websites that have forums about Mirena. They are places that you can make comments and other veiwers add their comments and stuff. Kinda like an on going conversation between tons and tons of web site users. A couple of them that I have came across have said things like they were having panic attacks, felt almost bi-polar, had some serious health side effects, and tons of other scary side effects (that there aren't supposed to be.) So now I am a little nervous about keeping this on because I don't have time to deal with all of that stuff or even some of it, if my body is indeed reacting to this new birth control. So keep me in your prayers as I continue to research this.

Tall Timber Days Parade

Ok, so I thought I had this all figured out as to how to get my pics in here in order, but I guess not. So unless I spend the time to put them in here one at a time, you guys are just going to have to deal with the fact that these pics aren't in order!!! Sorry

Had to get at least one picture of Aubrie at her first parade!!! I guess it isn't a bad one of me either.
Daddy and Nevaeh watching the Shriners ride around on their motorcycles.
Ok, so I got two pics of Aubrie!!! After this pic was taken she nursed and then I wore her the whole time! I wore her facing out so she could see what was going on for the parade part of our day, then when we went shopping I turned her in so that she could take a nap, which she did. I put her on my shoulder and just started moving the wrap all around, and I don't think I followed any pattern that I have seen, so maybe I invented a new way to "wear" your baby!!! It was the most comfortable that I have had her ever in there and that is saying something because I can't feel that I am carrying her at all, ever soooo...
The GR marching band. It is a lot smaller than when I was in it, but still big enough that we didn't see Uncle Kirk. Mom told me he was in there, but I totally missed him...
Wyatte was soooo excited to see this tractor with the huge wheels! I kept trying to get a picture with him standing up, but he just kept squating down and hollering look at that huge tractor Mommy!!!
Another tractor driving in the parade.
Wyatte was a little scared of all the loud noises that the fire trucks and things were making. He kept backing up farther and farther!!! He did come up to the edge of the road when they started throwing candy to us!!!
Nevaeh and Daddy watching the trucks go by!
Wyatte was super excited to see everything today! There were fire trucks and big jeeps like Daddy's and tractors and motorcycles and all kinds of moving vehicles!!!
Wyatte was watching the shriners go by on the motorcycles.
Nevaeh was soooo wore out by the end of the parade that when I went to order a name magnet for Aubrie she fell asleep in the wagon!
One of the things in the parade was Saiger's Steam Clean, and the rigs all had bubble blowers on the tops of them! It was really cool!!! This is Wyatte chasing the bubbles. I promise there are some in the pic, but you just can't see them very well.

The goings on in our life lately...

ubrie is soooo full of smiles and laughs these days. She can pretty much crawl. She scoots herself backwards like a pro, and is trying to get her body to work by moving forward.
Wyatte showing me what you use to catch a fish.
Looking at a snail on the side of the dock.
Aubrie's "bed" in the camper. She sleeps great out there. Well, she sleeps great just about anywhere!!!
Playing with the fish net.
I bought a watermelon from Walmart the other day and finally got around to cutting it up to eat. The kids and I each enjoyed a couple of pieces and then I ran upstairs to lay Nevaeh down for her nap while Wyatte finished he piece. I came down stairs and saw this (see above) and heard the sound of running feet out the front door. I went out there and asked Wyatte if he was done yet and he said "No Mommy, I haven't even started!"
I don't know if you can really see it or not, but the front of his shirt is soaked in watermelon juice. His shorts are soaked in juice, it is dripping off both elbows. He loves melon of any kind, but especially water melon.
Just another veiw of the mess! Does anyone have a good recipe for Watermelon Rind Pickles. I was going to make some with this water melon rind, but the only ones I can find call for cinnamon sticks, and my mom said she didn't use them. So I am going to keep looking...
LIKE FATHER...
LIKE DAUGHTER!!!
